Smoking and cancer

Whether you are living with or beyond cancer, there are many reasons to consider quitting or cutting down on smoking.

The links between smoking and cancer are well known. Smoking can increase the chances of cancer coming back or a new cancer developing.

Smoking can make the symptoms of cancer, the side effects of treatment and your quality of life worse. Smoking can also affect wound healing following surgery as less oxygen is delivered to your wound.
