We provide patient transport services at University Hospital Lewisham, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and in the Lewisham community.

Non-emergency patient transport

Please do make every effort to attend your appointment using private or public transport, either alone or with the support of family, friends, or carers. If you have exhausted all other options and are unable to travel independently to and from hospital for your care, you may be eligible for support with travel. If you feel this applies to you, call our transport colleagues on 020 3929 4088 to review your eligibility.

You will be asked to share some information on your appointment and alternative means of transport, including travel by public and private means. For a small number of eligible patients only, transport will be arranged. If you are eligible and your appointment is changed, cancelled or you are unable to attend, you must notify us immediately by calling 020 3929 4088. This will allow us to support other patients and avoid wasting our limited NHS resources.
