Patient Participation Forum

The Patient Participation Forum (PPF) is a voluntary group which champions the voice of the patient in the quality of care provided at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich).

We actively participate in service review and redesign projects and transformation programmes, ensuring that the patient viewpoint is always considered.

Taking part in our forum requires an ongoing commitment, and we ask that members contribute at least four hours each month, with additional contributions encouraged.

We also take part in Quality Improvement (QI) projects, and work with the QI Team to ensure that appropriate training is available for service users who want to get involved in this particular type of project. If you want to learn more about Quality Improvement, please visit our LGT Improvement Hub.

Service audits and quality reviews are another aspect where patient input is invaluable, and we are increasingly involved in supporting these.

Our work involves regular attendance at meetings, which are usually online, as well as some site visits.

We work closely with, and are supported by, the Trust’s Patient Experience Team.

If you are interested in finding out more about our PPF or any other types of public involvement at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, please contact Patient Experience on LG.PatientExperienceLGT@nhs.net.
