We operate a Medicines Helpline, open to you from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm:

You'll have the chance to discuss any of your new or exisiting presciption medicines with one of our pharmacists – so it's a great resource if you have questions or require support, for example after a discharge from hospital.

If your query is urgent, you can do one of the following outside the Medicines Helpline hours:

  • Contact NHS 111
  • You can visit your local community pharmacy
  • Contact your GP
  • Attend your local Walk-In Centre or A&E department

There are a variety of resources available that can help you make informed choices about your treatment and medicines. The resources below contain updated and reliable information about medicines and health services available to you..

NHS Choices - provides a wide range of health information, information about care and support on the services available near you.

Patient.info – a large database of information leaflets about health, disease, medicines and drugs. They also have a dedicated section providing information and advice about general health and wellbeing.

Medicines for Children – provides practical and reliable advice about giving medicines to children. They answer frequent questions, such as how and when to give the medicine, what to do if you forget to give the medicine, and any possible side-effects.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) – provides NHS advice about COVID-19, including symptoms, testing, vaccination and staying at home.

Recovering from Surgery – patient care leaflets designed to help you make a speedy recovery after surgery.

Best Use of Medicines in Pregnancy (BUMPs) – provides information leaflets on the use of individual medicines in pregnancy.
