Our Improvement Showcase

Improvement Showcase 2024 logo We were delighted to welcome back our annual Improvement Showcase event on Thursday 13 June 2024, 10am to 4pm for its fourth edition.

Well over 100 people tuned in to hear some inspiring speakers and project presentations, vote in the now-traditional poster competition, and mark the brilliant improvements we have made at LGT over the last year.

We're now pleased to be able to bring you the videos of all the sessions from the event - please find all of them as a playlist below, and underneath that you can find links to the individual videos:

The whole event, broken up into the separate sessions, is available to watch below or on YouTube.

Special thanks to all our presenters, our chair Steve James for his second year of great hosting duties, the QI team and all the other colleagues who supported them to organise this event, including: Research, Finance, Quality Assurance, Communications and Design colleagues and to UMECast for producing our event.

The final results of the poster competition 2023 saw Myla Angeles, Lead Nurse for Quality, and Shotham Kamath, Head of Nursing for Professional Practice and Standards, win the top vote overall for their amazing Quality Rounds project. They have embedded these special rounds, carried out by senior clinical leaders, in areas across the Trust, reinforcing our commitment to the highest quality service possible and enhancing the care for many patients at both our hospitals. A huge well done!

Congratulations as well to the runners up for their work on Alder Ward at UHL to increase the knowledge and understanding of diabetes for those on the ward who aren’t diabetes specialists – to see that poster, the winners and all the other competitors, you can still browse the poster project gallery
