About the service
Our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams assess and treat patients with temporary or permanent disabilities. Our goal is to help you improve your physical functions and prevent further issues.
Physiotherapy helps restore your movement and function to as close to normal as possible after you've been affected by injury, illness, or disability. We offer a full range of physiotherapy services for inpatients and outpatients.
Occupational therapy helps you take part in everyday activities at home and work. We assess your needs, provide treatment, and set goals to help you adapt to challenges and become more independent and improve your quality of life.
Our Inpatient Therapy service treats patients who are staying in hospital and the team works closely with other healthcare and social services to provide ongoing support in the community.

Facilities available
Our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy departments feature two gyms, a hydrotherapy pool and activities of daily living rehabilitation facilities. Find out more about our rehabilitation gyms
In addition, the Stroke Unit (Beech Ward) has a gym and kitchen facility within the ward. An additional gym for inpatient rehabilitation is located on the second floor of the Riverside building.
