TeamLGT Annual General Meeting 2026

From launching our new strategy to preparing for winter and embracing digital transformation through EPIC, TeamLGT colleagues and partners came together with one goal, delivering the best possible care for our patients.

Around 40 colleagues, leaders, partners and patient representatives gathered on Tuesday 27 October for TeamLGT’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the Trust’s progress, celebrate achievements, share ideas and discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Chaired by Nav Chana MBE, Interim Chair of the Board, the meeting brought together Ben Travis, Chief Executive , Trust Board executives and colleagues from across the organisation. Attendees also met the incoming Chair, Professor Andrew George MBE, who takes up the role on 1 November 2026.

A key highlight was the launch of Becoming Exceptional, LGT’s new five-year strategy for 2026-2031. Attendees watched the new strategy video, bringing the Trust’s ambitions to life.

Shaped by patients, local residents, colleagues and partners, the strategy sets out LGT’s ambition to build on recent progress and deliver consistently better care for more than one million people across Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham.

It reflects a shared belief that, by working together and focusing on what matters most to patients and communities, TeamLGT can turn this ambition into reality.

The conversation then turned to the challenges ahead this winter. Through a round-table discussion, clinical colleagues and local partners explored how they could work more closely together to improve patient care and support local communities.

The discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration across health and care services, particularly during the busiest periods, to help patients receive the support they need.

Throughout the AGM, one message stood out, delivering better care is a shared effort. By continuing to work together across TeamLGT and with our partners, we can tackle challenges, support our communities and make our ambition of becoming exceptional a reality for the people we serve.
