Last chance to nominate your Healthcare Hero
Nominations for the annual Healthcare Hero award – where we ask patients and the public to salute staff at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust who have gone the extra mile and made a positive difference to their care – are closing at 5pm on Monday 25 November.

Last year’s award was in fact given to a whole team: the oncology Suite 8 day patient team at University Hospital Lewisham, who were nominated by a patient and her neighbours. The patient said: “I do not have the words to express my gratitude to this team, but I just want to say thank you for recognising that I am not just my illness and for genuinely treating me as a person. Thank you for listening to all my fears, and thank you for giving me hope.”
