Need to book a blood test?

We have been working to address problems with the Trust’s new dedicated phone line for blood tests. We are aware that people have had to hold on for unacceptably long periods of time, or have been cut off unexpectedly, for which we apologise.

To address these issues, we have doubled the number of call handlers and put in place a technical fix that will prevent people being cut off.

Across Lewisham and Greenwich, blood tests have had to change from a walk-in to a booked service due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so please bear with us. We are currently experiencing exceptionally high call volumes, which means you may still have to hold on for a while, but please be assured that, once your call is answered, the booking process is extremely quick. So, even if the recorded message says that you are 60th in the queue, please still hang on as our call handlers are getting through the calls very quickly.

Our busiest times are between 8am and 9.30am, so please avoid these times if possible.
