A chance to sit on our Cancer Board

Patients with or who have had cancer, as well as their families and carers, can give us in the NHS the benefit of their experience as we move towards the future of cancer care.

If you’ve had cancer (or cared for someone with cancer) and have used our services for treatment in the last two years, why not apply to be a lay member on our Trust’s Cancer Board? It's a great opportunity to get your voice heard and help us make the right choices for our community.

Lay rep: Cancer Board

Please see the role description which provides you with more details about what’s involved. Please be aware that this is not a paid role, although reasonable travel expenses will be paid back.

The time commitment is approximately three hours a month over a two year period, with meetings currently being held virtually (as Covid restrictions ease, they will be at both University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich).

If you are interested in applying, please complete and email the application form to lg.layreps@nhs.net by 5pm on Friday 22 April 2022.

We will also require two references that will be contacted if you are invited to interview.

We look forward to hearing from you!
