How to get a referral

Following an assessment, usually by your GP, a referral will be made for your child to be seen by a member of the Children and Young People's team.

You can be referred by:

  • NHS eReferral service appointment – you can self-refer to a service you choose, either at your GP surgery or at home.
  • Direct referral – The person who refere your child will send a letter or email to the chosen service and you will then receive the next available appointment, which will be sent to you by post.

If you have any queries about appointments speak to the person person who made your referral or speak to our Appointments team on 020 8333 3216.
