Getting your results
Your images, study results or samples will be analysed by specialist teams. Results are then sent to the doctor or GP who requested your test.
In some cases, more than one test result is needed to give a full diagnostic picture. Your referring clinician will review all results together before discussing them with you.
CDC staff will let you know the current expected waiting time for your results. Waiting times can vary depending on:
- The type of test
- The urgency of your referral
- Whether additional tests are needed
If you haven’t heard back within the expected timeframe, please contact the doctor or GP who referred you.
The CDC team does not provide results directly to patients.
