Rapid Diagnostic Clinic (RDC)

If you have vague but concerning symptoms of possible cancer, but don’t fit our referral criteria for cancer or other specialist services, your GP can refer you to our Rapid Diagnostic Clinic.

Our clinic provides fast-track testing where you will be seen by different members of our team and if needed, have tests such as blood tests, X-rays or an ECG on the day. Please allow up to three hours for your appointment.

Our team includes a Consultant GP,  an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Psychologists and clinical support assistants.

Our aim is to see you within two weeks of your referral to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan as quickly as possible.

Location and clinic times

Our clinic runs on Tuesdays 9am–5pm and Thursdays 1pm–5pm at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The clinic is located in outpatient areas D and F. Please click here for a map of Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
