Urgent Treatment Centre in Lewisham

The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) a nurse-led service that offers same-day treatment for a range of minor illness and injuries that are urgent, but not life-threatening.

The UTC is not a walk-in service. We are open from 8am to midnight, 7 days a week and we can accept new patients between the hours of 8am - 10pm.

You will be directed to us once you have been assessed in the Emergency Department and can typically treat you more quickly for minor conditions.

How to get a referral

Please go to the Emergency Department before you come to see us.

A member of staff will carry out an initial assessment with you to determine if your illness or injury can be treated by us in the Urgent Treatment Centre, or if you should stay in the Emergency Department.

We carry out this process to make sure you are safe and treated in the right setting according to how unwell you are.

Our service is made up people from different healthcare backgrounds including:

Emergency Care Practitioners (ECPs)

General Practitioners (GPs)

Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP’s)
