What is Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT) Patient Portal? 

Patient Portal is a secure online system provided by LGT in partnership with DrDoctor. It is available from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. It will support our patients to have better access to key information about their appointments and health records.  

LGT’s Patient Portal will be developed throughout 2024 and 2025. The first phase of this project is the ability for the majority of our patients to view their appointment letters online, commencing in June 2024.  

Why am I receiving a text message from an unknown phone number? 

Lewisham Greenwich NHS Trust will be sending SMS text messages from the phone number 07860 039092. We are using the DrDoctor platform to communicate with you about your appointments and help access your digital appointment letters.
 

How do I view my appointment letter on the LGT Patient Portal?  

1. Login:using the DrDoctor sign in  

2. View your digital letter: Download the letter, check the date, time and location of upcoming Outpatient appointments 

I would prefer to receive a paper copy of my letter. What should I do?  

If you would prefer to receive a paper version of your Outpatient appointment letter you will not need to do anything. All letters will be posted to patients if unread after 3 (three) days.  

Do I need to register with DrDoctor:

Our patient portal journey: 

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust has an ambitious plan to enable our patients' better access to appointment information and tools to engage with their healthcare. Future functionality includes: 

  • Rescheduling: Request to change the date and time of your Outpatient appointment(s) online 
  • Completing questionnaires online: Some patient pathways require clinical and administrative teams to ask patients to complete questionnaires. There will be an option to complete these online as well as using our existing methods 
  • Messages: receive messages from your care team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust 
  • Test results: view test results 
  • Allergies: look at your recorded allergies 

Will I be able to use my NHS app login? 

Lewisham Greenwich NHS Trust has plans to allow patients to use their NHS App login credentials to access all of the Patient Portal functions. 

Features of the NHS App include the ability to view your hospital referrals and appointments in one place, access supporting information, and have a single point of contact for your appointments.  

If you already use Patients Know Best or DrDoctor you can continue to use these, and you will be able use the NHS App later this summer.
