Awareness training

Ad-hoc awareness sessions

We offer shorter and bespoke improvement awareness sessions to teams (anything from 30 minutes - 2 hours) and would be happy to discuss this with you. Please email the team at.

Bronze level training

If you’re new to improvement and are interested in being involved in a project, already are involved, or just want to learn something new, we recommend that you start with one of our Bronze level training courses.

Compact QI

This is a regular course run by the LGT QI team. The session is designed to introduce delegates to the basics of  improvement through a mixture of presentation, video and practical exercises. Delegates will have an opportunity to learn and understand the LGT improvement framework – the ‘Model for Improvement’– and how to put it into practice. You do not need to be involved in a QI project to attend Compact QI; however, we expect that anyone leading a QI project would have attended Compact QI or an equivalent training.

Compact QI will continue to run every month. Virtual sessions are half a day, facilitated on Teams.

Silver Level Training

QI in Action

Do you want to feel more confident pursuing improvement in your area and gain more practical experience using Improvement tools? Then QI in Action is for you!

This hands-on face-to-face training is delivered over two separate days, building on Compact QI (bronze level) teaching, to provide a firm grounding in the concepts, tools, and methods of improvement science.

Please come to this training if:
• You have already attended Compact Qi training (Bronze level)
• You have an Improvement project idea in mind
• You are able to attend both dates of training (2 dates, 6-7weeks apart)

Improvement Project Drop-in Sessions

Would you like to speak to a member of our team?

The Improvement delivery team is now running drop-in sessions.

Once a month, following our Compact QI training, there are 30 minute slots available to book via Teams with a member of our team. The sessions are for any staff member who has questions about improvement methodology and projects, but would be especially useful for anyone who:

  • Has an idea for a new improvement project and doesn't know where to start
  • Is working on a project and has questions about which QI or project management tools will be the most effective
  • Is working on a project and is experiencing issues or blocks that they are not sure how to solve
