Update on QEH norovirus outbreak

We are happy to report the two closed wards are now open. However norovirus remains in the community and we continue to see cases. Please do not visit either of our hospitals for at least 48 hours if you have symptoms of diarrhoea and/or vomiting, and ensure you limit the risk of cross-infection by washing your hands with soap and water after visiting.

You can help us by:

  • Staying home if you have a cold, infection or diarrhoea and vomiting, and only visit when you have been symptom free for 48 hours
  • Washing your hands with soap and water before and after visiting patients in ward areas
