The LGT Star Awards 2024: a look back at an incredible night!
We're just about recovered from an absolutely amazing night last Friday (15 November 2024) celebrating our colleagues – our constellation of stars if you will – at the LGT Star Awards and Winter Ball 2024!
550 of our colleagues came together under the bright lights of the (beautifully decorated and LGT-ified) Woolwich Works venue, all dressed to the nines for an evening of celebration.
Our host Chizzy Akudolu (Holby City, Death in Paradise) welcomed everyone to the room where, over dinner, attendees were wowed by some close-up magic and stunned by a flashmob-style performance of songs from The Greatest Showman, courtesy of the superstars of Club Mob!
Dinner came courtesy of The Clink, the award-winning gourmet caterers who work with prisoners to train them in the hospitality industry and culinary arts to give them the tools to really thrive upon release.
Then on to the main event, where we handed out awards and 'highly commended's across 13 categories. There's not space here to cover all the amazing work that was heralded in the awards ceremony, but all the winners and descriptions of their heroic efforts can be found here.
After that – disco time! Colleagues let their hair down late into the night (unless they were on shift in the morning of course!) and all the dancing capped off a special night beautifully.
