Roadworks affecting access to Queen Elizabeth Hospital

We advise all those visiting Queen Elizabeth Hospital to allow extra time for their journey due to ongoing roadworks on Stadium Road until Thursday 3 September.

Utility repair and maintenance works in the area began on 25 August 2026. Temporary multi-way traffic signals are in place while the work is carried out, which is leading to delays and increased traffic around the hospital.

Patients, visitors and staff are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and leave additional time when travelling to appointments or visiting the hospital.

Our Estates team is actively monitoring the situation and working closely with relevant partners to minimise disruption wherever possible.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank everyone for their patience while these essential works are completed.
