Queen Elizabeth Hospital hosts international infection control experts

The infection prevention and control team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Woolwich today (17 July 2019) showcased their work in reducing hospital inquired infections to experts in infection control from Japan, including the President of The Infection Control Support Association of Japan, Mr Eiji Doi.

Angela Helleur, Chief Nurse said: “We are proud of our infection control team, who work hard with colleagues in the Trust to reduce hospital infections. It was great to be able to showcase this work today by hosting a visit from a prestigious infection control delegation from Japan. We were able to show them first-hand how hard our amazing staff work.”

Mr Eiji Doi, President of The Infection Control Support Association of Japan said: "We were delighted to visit the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and very impressed to see zero tolerance approach to infection control. "
