October LGT Star of the Month
Huge congratulations to Beth Salisbury, Senior Revalidation Support Officer, our final LGT Star of the Month winner for 2025.
Beth was nominated for the Superstar Award by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mehool Patel, and here’s why:“Beth is a superstar because she embodies what it means to be exceptional, delivering every aspect of her work with skill, compassion, and a relentless drive to improve patient care.
"She is the driving force behind one of the Trust’s most complex statutory functions: the appraisal and revalidation of over 750 connected doctors. Beth consistently goes above and beyond her role, leading, innovating, and improving processes with exceptional autonomy, professionalism, and resilience.
"Her organisation and attention to detail ensure the revalidation service runs smoothly, safeguarding compliance and patient safety. She has led service improvement projects, including advanced data analysis and a dashboard to visualise appraisal compliance, helping raise Trust medical appraisal rates from 51% in 2020–2021 to consistently over 90% in recent years.
"Colleagues recognise Beth for her responsiveness, support, and dedication. She combines technical excellence with compassion, ensuring doctors feel guided and valued. Her work reflects the Trust’s core values and makes her a true inspiration to all.”
Beth was presented with a certificate and a £100 voucher in recognition of her achievement.

Beth said:”I didn’t even know I’d been nominated, so winning came as a complete surprise! Thanks to the panel for choosing me. It truly means a lot to know that the work I do is seen and appreciated. I’m proud to continue supporting LGT doctors through the appraisal and revalidation process.
"I’d like to thank Mehool for nominating me, as well as my manager Jason and our Responsible Officer John. I feel fortunate to be part of this small but vital team. Their support and encouragement create an environment where I’m able to contribute meaningfully and continue to grow.”
