Lilly’s super swim for our Trust Charity
As a thank you for the care she received at University Hospital Lewisham, eight-year-old Lilly completed a sponsored swim for our Trust Charity.
We were delighted to meet Lilly and her family as they presented a generous cheque for £415 raised through Lilly completing a Swim-a-thon in December.
Lilly swam an incredible 7km at her local leisure centre to raise funds for the Children's services at University Hospital Lewisham, as a thank you for the treatment she received.
Lilly’s mum Natalie said: "Lilly received such wonderful care during her stay, and is a complete water baby, she had so missed swimming during her recovery.”
Lilly has recommended that some of the money raised be used for books for children to read during their stay, with a particular recommendation for books about swimming.
A huge thank you to Lilly for completing this incredible challenge for the children's ward.
