LGT Clinical Academy

We’re excited to announce that the LGT Clinical Academy has relaunched on Monday 30 June, now with a brand-new, dedicated space at our Catford office.
To celebrate the reopening, we held a special event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Chief Nurse Louise Crosby officially opened the new hub and a specially made cake was cut to mark the occasion.
The refreshed Clinical Academy is designed to empower colleagues with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional patient care across LGT.
The Clinical Academy's mission is to provide bespoke, high-quality, peer-reviewed teaching, delivered by clinical experts, to support continuous professional development across all clinical teams.

Louise Crosby, Chief Nurse at LGT, said: "This is a great achievement – a dedicated training space for our colleagues is vital. Education plays a key role in running a successful healthcare organisation. By empowering more of our colleagues with the skills and knowledge they need, we ensure that we continue to deliver the highest quality care to our patients at LGT.
"I’m incredibly proud of our committed staff, who are driving forward our education strategy. It’s fantastic to see our progress, including the opening of this modern facility where colleagues can learn and grow."

Rory Van Niekerk, Lead Nurse for Post-Registration Clinical Education, added: "I’m very proud to launch our dedicated LGT Clinical Academy teaching space. It will enable us to strengthen and expand our educational provision across LGT. We will continue championing clinical education for our nursing, midwifery, and allied health professionals, with the ultimate aim of improving care for our local communities. This is another step forward on our journey to becoming exceptional at LGT."
