Employees of the Month for July
Congratulations to our Design, Photography and Reprographics Team based at both Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) and University Hospital Lewisham (UHL) who has been chosen as our Employee of the Month winners for July.
The team was nominated by Sally Cooke, Head of Design, Photography and Reprographics who explained: “As a team they showed great resilience and dedication throughout the pandemic. Each and every one consistently stepped up and worked incredibly hard.”
“The work they produced as the pandemic evolved, helped to keep our staff informed, and videos they produced allowed staff to be trained in new ways of working. In addition to this they worked with clinical teams throughout our Trust to produce information and support films that enabled patients to continue to receive care, when they were unable to come into the hospital.
“They work fantastically as a team, supporting each other and sharing knowledge and they reach out to every corner of the Trust, supporting staff in all departments and at all levels, as well as supporting patient care.”
Julian Beeton, Senior Graphic Designer said: “I am really grateful our team received this award. It is a real pleasure to be recognised, as small teams like ours, as with many other small teams in support roles, often go unnoticed even though they are still making meaningful contributions in the running of our Trust. Over the last 16 months every member of the team had to adapt and be responsive in printing, designing and assisting other departments in delivering services for their patients during the pandemic. It is lovely that that our hard work has been recognised and I couldn’t be prouder of my colleagues.”
Conrad Maramba, Head of Security and Local Security Management Specialist who chaired this month’s judging panel commented: “The Design, Photography and Reprographics team has frequently worked beyond expectations throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. The team is very helpful and action requests in a very timely manner. They are the unseen heroes providing special guidance with signage and communication through creativity.”
