Donation to Safari children's ward QE

Local resident Paul Billington has raised over £1,205 for Safari children’s ward, Queen Elizabeth hospital (QEH) to go towards providing essential play equipment suitable for children of all ages.

Paul came into the QEH to hand over the generous donation. He said: “After recent events I wanted to do something for the children’s ward. So I did some fundraising and I have been so touched by the generosity of the local community who have donated towards this and would like to thank them too.”

Robert Cole, Head of Nursing, for children and young people’s services said: “We would like to thank Paul for his kind donation to safari children’s ward. These donations really do make a difference to our patients we care for and when people go to such lengths to raise money, it is just wonderful."
