Help shape the future of patient safety

To ensure important decisions about our services are considered from a patient/service user perspective, we are looking for two Patient Safety Partners to sit on our patient safety groups and committees.

While the role is voluntary, successful applicants will be given relevant training, one-on-one support, and we will reimburse their expenses.

The ideal person will have a passion for Patient Safety and a willingness to consider issues from various perspectives that may be different to their own. They will also have a willingness to represent the voices of a wide range of service users including children and young people, their parents, people with learning disabilities or autism – to mention but a few.

We particularly welcome applicants who live in our local communities of Lewisham, Greenwich and Bexley. Applicants from minority ethnic communities are encouraged to apply.

You do not need any NHS experience to apply. You will be required for up to eight hours a month.

Some examples of what you might be involved in include;

  • Talking with staff & patients about patient safety and giving us feedback ;
  • Being a key part of our monthly Patient Safety Group and our Quality, Safety and Patient Experience Committee;
  • Playing a prominent role in various patient safety improvement projects;
  • Supporting the development and delivery of patient safety training.
