  1. Children’s special gift “to help look after children in hospital.”

    Sisters Isra 6 and Asiya 3, delivered the charity box they had decorated, to Lewisham Hospital Children’s Day Care Unit Thursday 16 July, to donate the pocket money they had saved during Ramadan “to help look after children in hospital.”

    Freedom Programme

    “Women enjoy it because of the freedom it gives them to be themselves” 

    Women in Lewisham who are pregnant or with under 5s and experiencing domestic violence and abuse (DVA) can take part in a confidential 10-week programme offering safety, guidance and support to help them understand and manage their situation with confidence. 

  3. Surge in elderly people attending A&E due to the hot weather

    Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust has seen a rise in the number of elderly people attending A&E with health problems related to the recent hot weather.
